The value of the stock as a charitable deduction for tax filing will be determined by the date received and will equal the average of the high and low values for the stock on the same date.
- Youth In Need will send receipt of the donation, along with the NAP/YOP application form (if applicable) and instructions on its completion to the donor.
- Upon receipt of the completed tax credit application (if applicable) and the required documentation from the donor, Youth In Need will approve and submit the documentation to the state of Missouri for processing. A tax credit letter will be issued directly from the state to the donor.
