Pat Holterman-Hommes
In 2013, Pat Holterman-Hommes became the fourth President and CEO in Youth In Need’s history. A key Youth In Need staff member since 1990, she has extensive expertise in the areas of adolescent development and family therapy, child abuse and neglect issues, positive youth development and organizational development. She also makes diversity, equity and inclusion a strategic priority at Youth In Need, driving the agency’s anti-bias antiracism efforts to eliminate systemic racism.
Pat currently serves on the boards of the National Network for Youth and the Missouri Coalition for Children. She previously served on the boards for the National Safe Place Network and the Community Council of St. Charles County. She also represents the needs of vulnerable children and youth on various regional committees, including the Children’s Services Coalition and the Regional Response Team.
Kim N. Buie
Kim Buie joined Youth In Need in 2019 and is responsible for the oversight of the agency’s fiscal, technology, and facility departments. She has 20 years of experience in the accounting and finance fields, working primarily in a consumer product goods company. Her expertise includes financial/cost accounting, product pricing and analysis, sales, senior leadership and process and operations efficiencies. Kim received her bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and holds an Executive MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. She currently is a grant reviewer for the Dana Brown Charitable Trust and has served on several boards and volunteered for many organizations that are child and youth focused.
Rob Muschany
Rob Muschany has overseen the fundraising and marketing programs at Youth In Need since 2009, after seven years leading fundraising efforts at Assets School, a school in Hawaii for children with learning differences. A St. Louis native, Rob has 30 years of experience directing development and public relations efforts for nonprofits that focus on youth issues. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and completed graduate coursework in journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He previously served on the boards of NCCJ St. Louis (now Gateway Equity Institute) and the International Student Conferences in Washington D.C.
Tricia Vineyard
Tricia Vineyard provides oversight, supervision and operations management of Youth In Need’s residential, counseling, homeless street outreach and Head Start and Early Head Start programs as well as the human resources functions for the agency. Tricia has been with Youth In Need since 2000 and served as the Vice President of Human Resources until 2012. She has expertise in people management and development. She holds degrees in Management and Psychology from Webster University.
April Gabel
April Gabel is the Vice President of People Partnerships. In this position, she provides leadership for the People Partner (Human Resources) team and function. A Youth In Need employee since 1999, April has held leadership roles in human resources, quality and program operations. April is responsible for the operational oversight and implementation of the full employee life cycle, including recruiting, on- and off-boarding, employee relations and engagement, compensation, benefits and payroll. She received a master’s degree in human resources management from Webster University.
Michelle Gorman
Michelle Gorman is the Vice President of Youth Programs. In this position, she provides oversight, clinical supervision and operations management of Youth In Need’s youth programs, including outclient counseling, runaway and homeless youth programs and foster care services. Michelle has been working for Youth In Need since 1997 and has more than 25 years of experience providing and managing services to children and families. She received her Master of Education in counseling in 1997 from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
Melissa Tureaud
Melissa joined Youth In Need in 2014 with 15 years of experience in early childhood education, including 12 years with Head Start and Early Head Start. Her professional expertise includes system development, program management, staff development and grant writing. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia. She is responsible for the oversight and operation of Youth In Need’s Head Start and Early Head Start program.
Corey Hawkins
Corey Hawkins joined Youth In Need in 2022 as the Senior Inclusion & Equity Advisor, where he’s responsible for leading the agency’s racial equity, diversity and inclusion efforts. He has more than 10 years of experience in building strategies, affecting policies, cultivating cultural competencies, identifying equity gaps and facilitating change. He received his Master of Arts in Management in Leadership from Webster University.
